BioI DO I make layouts, icons, blinkies, banners, backgrounds, headers, and friends-only signs. I also draw and play around with PhotoShop. And I do all this for free (or to better my karma). I can do almost anything that's possible with free user overrides. If it's something that I haven't done before, but you can show me an example, I can often figure it out from the code. If I make you an override layout, I can talk you through changing your journal. I can play around with backgrounds in PhotoShop -- improving things, changing colors, and doing all kinds of cool things. I also draw, so I can scan my drawings in and then play with them. I work with creating and customizing paid user styles as well, although I do not have a paid LJ account to test them on. I won't reuse a layout I made for you. Every layout I make is unique. | YOU CAN If I volunteer, I'll do something for you. If I don't volunteer, you can ask to be considered. It's worth a shot, isn't it? You must credit in your userinfo for as long as you have the layout I made. There are no exceptions or questions. You must read these rules before asking for a layout. If you like the work I've done, I do accept gifts. For example, paid time would enable me to create public styles. I also accept donations to worthy causes. My favorite:  You are not asked, obligated, or required to give me anything in return for layouts. If you just want a basic layout -- which includes backgrounds, link effects, and pretty much anything else but a sidebar or custom illustration -- then I'll do it for free. | ||||
I DON'T I won't log into your account, because it's against LJ's ToS. Instead, I'll talk you through installing the overrides I create. I cannot talk you through installing a new style unless you really know what you're doing, in which case you can probably do your own. Because I don't have a paid account LJ, I also can't make a style public so you can use it. While I will do a lot for you, I won't do sidebars, illustrations, or anything else that's a real pain, without compensation; it's just not worth it for me. If I'm making you a layout with a sidebar, then you need to know how to enter things into the sidebar (and therefore you need to know minimal HTML). I won't edit the layout for you every time you want to change a word. I can't host your pictures; I have no more bandwidth than you do. You need to host them yourself, preferably on a reliable free site. I will recommend such a site if you ask me, but I won't walk you through uploading your pictures. Sites' guides do a good enough job of that themselves. I don't let other people use the layout I made for you. If I make something for you, only you can use it. But if someone contacts me and wants to use your layout, I'll ask you if you mind. You are completely free to say you want it exclusive, and I assume this to be the default. | YOU CAN'T Please don't IM or e-mail me unless I specifically invite you to. I like making layouts for people, but I don't like being ambushed whenever I come online. If you find my personal journal, please don't comment on it asking for any kind of help. You won't get it there -- and because you asked there, you won't get it from me anywhere else. If you add page transitions to the layout I have made for you, or if you get someone else to add page transitions to the layout I have made for you, then you can no longer use the layout I made. There are no exceptions. If you want any other modifications later, you must ask me and I'll do them, but page transitions are an absolute no. You cannot stop crediting me in your userinfo unless you also stop using whatever I made for you. Yes, I check -- frequently and randomly. You cannot pass anything on to anyone else. Remember, I'm not giving you a layout -- I'm making a layout and then giving you the right to use it as long as you follow these rules. You're not allowed to pass anything on to friends. If you want to use a layout on more than one journal, you can ask me. If a friend wants to use a layout on her journal too, she can ask me and get the code from me. I include hidden tags in the layouts I make, so I'll know if someone else is using one of my layouts. It's not worth it; I've reported people to LJ Abuse in the past and will do so again. |

CHERRYSTYLE I have joined ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} cherrystyle, and have used one of their styles as a template for my private GJ -- not for any of my LJs, and not for anyone else. I only use their styles as bases for my own personal use on my GJ. I cannot and will not customize one for you. | ||||
