Who wants a layout? [01 Jan 2010|12:00pm] [ mood | interested ] In the past, I've offered special layouts as gifts or giveaways, and there's always the possibility to trade something for a layout. But what if there's no special offer going on, and you don't have anything to trade? ( Answer these questions and we'll see. ) Give the questions your best shot, with any resources you like (Google or anything else). If I like your answers, I'll give you anything you ask for (er, in terms of layouts and banners and icons). Actually, if I like your answers and I sense that they weren't Googled, I'll probably want to be your best friend. Why do you have to answer these weird questions that have nothing to do with layouts anyway? (1) If you know these without resorting to Google, then you are so much like me that I'd love you if I knew you. I want to encourage people like you to exist, so I will make you a layout to make your life a little happier. (2) If you don't know these, then you can resort to Google. It means a little work, yeah, but not as much work as it will take me to make your layout. [10 May 2004|07:22pm] Made a layout for rockninja -- I really like this one. It's way more than she asked for, because I started fooling around with things for fun. When I couldn't figure out how to do stuff (e.g., selective transparency) immediately, I got stubborn and worked until I got the code, then had to use it in her layout. It uses a very plain b&w layout from explodingdog, with one touch of #A10808. The layout's similar, although I did go a little overboard with #A10808. Explodingdog's copyright states that you're free to use his pictures on personal sites, but you need to credit. This is my credit, but rockninja will have to be responsible for her own (I suggest putting it in your userinfo, next to the credit for my work). Picture's to the left (mostly), content is to the right; there's a big empty hole in the upper left, in the actual picture. If it were for my LJ, I'd definitely stick my name in there, or a sidebar, or just anything so it wouldn't be so empty. ( sekrit code for rockninja's ) 1 comment|post comment

[02 Apr 2004|04:53pm] Made a layout for stickresistant -- gray and hot pink. It amply demonstrated the majority of my mad skillz, and I'm quite proud of it. [08 Feb 2004|05:37pm] Just finished a layout for chelshock 'cos she answered all my challenge questions right. After all, that's what they're there for -- not for your amusement. Anyway, she's a graphic designer, so I was dead nervous, but she didn't want anything challenging and she already had it all designed. I just had to plug her ideas into the overrides, which was hardly a problem. I can work like that, or I can refine a bigger idea -- either way, you lot, so keep asking. Want layouts? Comment (no IMs, no e-mails). Tell me a little about yourself and your LJ (or DJ, GJ, Caleida, similar system). Then tell me what you're kind of thinking about for your free layout. Background picture, color theme, font -- whatever you know you want, tell me. Whatever you don't, we'll make up together. Sounds like fun, huh? EDIT: I have a lot of requests.
